I woke up smiling and was watering my four plants, took my son's dog to daycare, and while I was driving back home, I took a picture of this beautiful morning site coming back from daycare.
What I realized is that life is what you make of it. In the organization that you set up your life on a daily, basis and the determination you have, the focus you present in your day-to-day life is everything.
I used to be a person that would complain about everything. Until one day, I decided to change my life completely.
Change brings consequences; when you decide to focus on yourself and be assertive, you might notice that many people will not be pleased with your decisions.
That's okay. The door to success is based on the decisions that you make right now. Every morning life grants us the opportunity to change. It is our choice what we do with the day that is gifted to us.
Do we complain about our illnesses, finances, the fact that we are not living how we would like, a traffic jam, our pants not fitting correctly, our hair out of place, a diagnose, a lost job, the pain of a dear one, a heartbreak, etc.?
Let me share with you what happened yesterday...
Yesterday was my appointment for my neuro-psych testing, and I decided to sing and record myself and post it on WhatsApp my journey towards heading to this 4 and 1/2 hour procedure.
It was an experience to see how my memory loss has increased, but I embraced it with grace, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The Doctor said, "Mitzy, your attitude is incredible" I am so happy to share my journey with everyone because I live every day striving to be a better me and defeat all odds and show that a mind is a powerful tool.
Things started falling from my left side, and it was funny this morning because my coffee grains fell from my hand, and while cleaning, I looked up and said, "I will have to use my right hand a bit more and let my left side rest for a bit until we can retrain myself on what it can tolerate and on what it cannot. Then I started thinking about people with no hands that cannot see, and I said to myself, "Mitzy, you are a lucky woman"!.
Yes, I have developed episodes of sudden attacks of sleep, but I smiled at the Doctor and said, "Iḿ like an HP computer I need time to reboot so I can function correctly so when I have to sleep, I take a small snooze, and I'm off to working and continuing where I left off."😂🤣😂🤣😂 In a week, I will post the results of this test, and we will walk this journey together knowing that the mind is the best tool that has been given to us to battle any situation.
It takes courage to be successful; It takes courage to be different. But I have learned that greatness takes time. Let people say whatever they want about you. That is okay; the door is open for you to walk thru, not for everyone else. Let your results speak for you, and never give up.
Don't sit and wallow in the past pain (which can mean a second ago). Build even when you are broken!!! To change your life, you have to change the switch of your mind from surviving to winning.
We choose to see what we want to see when we walk out the door every day; we can start out the day in a beautiful way or we might look at whatever we choose to!
(This picture was taken at 5:40 AM and all I could do was smile even though I had tripped over my own feet, dropped the keys, and the dog almost made me fall 😂. )
But I choose every second thru out my day to see the beauty of a great day.
